How do I choose which colors I want?

When you are creating your own custom palette I recommend starting with 3 colors: a light, medium and dark color. My very favorite light eye shadow color is Sabrina. Other similar options are Rome, Cupcake or Pup. A light color is great for an all over lid color to prep your eye after other shadows. Remember, powder sticks to powder so try using a light color all over your lid first. Also, use your lightest color more concentrated in the inner corner of your eye to brighten and under your brow.

For your second color choose a medium shade color. One of my very favorite is Bubba. I also love Basic, Stay Golden, Lullaby, and Zion. You can see all of the eye shadow colors here. Your medium color is great for your lid but there are many ways to use your 3 eye shadow colors. Here is a great graphic to show you some ideas! Lastly, choose a dark or deep shadow color. I love Filly and Kin! This color is great for the crease of your eye or lining your eye. I use my deep eye shadow as an eye liner using the Hotline Brush. This angled brush can also be used to fill in brows! But, we will talk brows another day. 😉

Now, choose a compact!
