This out of this world Halloween makeup is pretty simple! It’s a fun and cute way to dress up without needing an elaborate costume. Follow the steps below to get this look, but remember you can be creative with it! Try different colors or patterns.
Doing Halloween makeup looks are great because you can just put on whatever colors you want wherever you want. Use those creative juices! It is a way to mix things up and try makeup skills you haven’t used before.
Create a Base
The base color I chose is a couple of bright pink lip + cheek colors. The shades are called Ruby and Dahlia. These are cream formulas so they make it easy to blend. Whether you need to blend other colors in like we will for this Halloween makeup. Or for everyday use and you need to blend out the color for less pigment.
The blush and bronzer brush made it really easy to get the pigment exactly where I wanted it, without creating harsh lines. I used it to take both colors along the cheekbone. Then continued to place the color up onto the nose and under the eye. Blending up onto the eyelid as well.
Work the color in where you want it. Be sure there is a good foundation of color. Don’t worry about getting all these pretty colors onto your brushes and tools. There is an amazing brush cleaner that makes it so easy to make your brushes brand new. Plus it sanitizes at the same time!
Add More Color!
At this point I switched over to the Best Blend Forever brush. This is a nice fluffy brush that helps quickly blend. Since I added a lot of fun colors to the look it was important they all blended together smoothly.
Using the fluffy end I used each color blending over the pink cream base. Along the cheekbone, up onto the nose, under the eye, and onto the eyelid. Again, placing the color where you want! I used Tawanda and Kin first to add to the pink and then followed with As If to create a more purple galaxy look.
Halloween Makeup Eyeshadows
- tawanda (shimmery pink)
- kin (deep maroon)
- mi hija (pink)
- as if (bright purple)
- glass slipper (silver shimmer)
Sparkle Time
Still using the Best Blend Forever brush I added some sparkle using powder illuminators. These are great for adding that shimmery highlight!
Apply the shade Photoshop all over the colors. This has a pink shade to it so it blends in well but really adds that extra shimmer.
Then using the narrower end of the brush I used Glamazing. This is a white powder. Putting it in the corner of your eyes really adds dimension to the look. Just gives it that extra ba-bam! I also added this illuminator on the tip of my nose like an everyday technique.
Final Touches
The last details of the out of this world Halloween makeup are the stars! This is another part you can have fun and be creative with. Isn’t Halloween makeup so fun?
Using the highlight color Linen I added some dots up on my eyelid. This was easiest with the Multitasker brush because it’s meant for details.
Then continue by adding star designs along the cheeks. Start with an X and then cross through the other way as well.
Finish off with adding color to your lips. I used the Dahlia and Ruby lip + cheek as a base and used the Photoshop illuminator to add some sparkle.
Another fun way to add to the final out of this world halloween look is adding a black winged liner and fun false lashes. I loved adding to the look with a fun hairstyle! Some space buns are easy and so cute. Just part your hair and put each side in messy buns!
