You keep seeing Maskcara Beauty artists say I can “color match” you and you’re not sure exactly what that means. It seems like great makeup and you’re curious about it and now, you want to know how to get a color match from Maskcara Beauty.

Getting a color match from Maskcara Beauty is easy! I have been a Maskcara Beauty artist for over two years and during that time I have learned how to color match someone from a photo! One great thing about Maskcara Beauty is that you don’t have to guess what products to use and which colors are right for you! You get to work directly with an artist to simplify your makeup routine with only ONE compact and a few brushes! Your artist will recommend the perfect colors for you!

How do I get a color match from Maskcara Beauty?

Sounds great, right? You get your own personal makeup consultant helping you through the entire process but how exactly does it work?

All I really need to “color match” you to your highlight and contour shades is a photo of you in natural light. I understand it may seem strange to send a photo of yourself to a complete stranger but let me reassure you I have your back! I won’t share your photo anywhere, ever. As your artist, I will be dedicated to recommending the right colors for you based on your skin tone. I love seeing your beautiful face and then customizing a makeup palette just for you!

How to get the perfect color match recommendations

DO:

Stand directly in front of a window then move about 3 feet back. I need a photo in natural light so I can see true skin tone.

Also, include your face and neck in the photo. Sometimes your skin tone on your face and neck do not quite match. I will look at that and address it in my custom color match.

Take a photo during the day so there is good natural light.

DON’T:

Wear any foundation or makeup on your face when you take the photo.

Take a photo in your bathroom or anywhere where there is artificial light. Also, don’t take a photo outside. If you take a photo outside during the day it will most likely be too bright or there will be shadows on your face.
